On-site IT Support Analyst

Role:

·         Provide first and second level in-house helpdesk support on end-user computing system
Field incoming requests from customers via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous manner

·         Build rapport with customers and handle IT tasks for any incoming and outgoing staff

·         Troubleshooting any software, hardware, network, phone, print or telecommunication issues that may arise for in-house and remote access staff

·         Perform post-resolution follow-ups to customer requests
User provisioning such as setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords
Manage firm's issued mobile phones (iPhone and Blackberry) and mobile lines

·         Replacement of new desktop and laptop for end users
Coordinate and assist with meeting rooms AV set up
Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals

·         Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting. Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution

·         Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved

·         Evaluate documented resolutions and analyse trends for ways to prevent future problems
Liaising with vendors and handling of IT procurement
Lead, coordinate and participate in IT Projects as they relate to the on-site IT environment.

·         Serve as an advocate for the organisation’s information security management system.

 

Candidate:

·         Min. 3 years of experience in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field

·         Microsoft MCP desired or other appropriate certification

·         Strong knowledge of computer hardware, including Dell workstations and laptops

·         Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office/Windows

·         Proven track record of working under Service Level Agreements and a Service Desk

            framework

·         Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

·         Exceptional written and oral communication skills

·         Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and asking probing questions as appropriate

·         Strong documentation skills

·         Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required

·         Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users

·         Keen attention to detail

·         Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities

·         Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

·         Exceptional customer service orientation

·         Ability to represent and advocate for both the policies and procedures of the IT organization the end users’ perspective
